A judge violated a juvenile’s free-speech rights when he placed her on probation for posting an expletive-laden entry on MySpace criticizing a school principal, the Indiana Court of Appeals ruled.

The three-judge panel on Monday ordered the Putnam Circuit Court to set aside its penalty against the girl, referred to only as A.B. in court records.

“While we have little regard for A.B.’s use of vulgar epithets, we conclude that her overall message constitutes political speech,” Judge Patricia Riley wrote in the 10-page opinion.

iRobot, a company whose products sweep living room floors and enemy minefields, also wants to clean your swimming pool. The company said it is debuting the iRobot Verro Pool Cleaning Robot–a cabana boy, if you will, with artificial intelligence.

The artificial intelligence means the Verro cleans more effectively than traditional pool cleaning methods, iRobot claims.

Delphi has introduced the Lifetime Traffic Service, which works with the Nav200 to offer premium traffic services that reroute the user to avoid traffic jams and hazardous road conditions in real time allowing for increased productivity and safety for drivers. Unlike other traffic services currently on the market, the Lifetime Traffic Service is available for a one-time cost with no additional activation, monthly subscription or renewal fees. Extensive coverage is offered through 49 of the top 50 markets in the US making this service available most Delphi navigation users.

The Lifetime Traffic Service is available for $199 and is compatible with the Nav200 and future navigation products from Delphi.

Apple has sold its 100 millionth iPod in just over five years, boasting that the digital device was “the fastest selling music player in history” that appeals to both young and old.
