BSQUARE Corporation unveiled the CEValidator Application Tester. CEValidator Applications Tester is for applications that require complex testing logic, communication with other programs, or require precise control over script execution; Application Tester includes the ability for the developer to extend recorded scripts using standard C programming language.

PocketScience announced the availability of Palmdock DockV Pro, an adaptor that will enable all Palm V and Palm Vx organizers to work with the PocketMail BackFlip. The Palmdock DockV Pro, bundled with the PocketMail BackFlip, is available for purchase through the PocketMail Web site for $129.

Palm and Siebel Systems announced an alliance to jointly market and sell handheld eBusiness solutions. As part of this alliance, Siebel Systems will integrate its eBusiness solution with the Palm Address Book, Calendar and To Do applications that allow users to synchronize data between Siebel and Palm applications. This solution is scheduled for release this spring.

Bill Gates officially launched MSN Mobile 2.0 at the CTIA Wireless 2000 show. MSN Mobile 2.0 will be available in April and will feature email notifications and two-way service.

BSQUARE Corporation announced its remote update software for intelligent computing devices based on the Windows CE operating system. BSQUARE’s new CE Remote Updater is an off-the-shelf software development kit for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) creating devices that will need to update data, software applications, device configuration or even the operating system itself from a remote location.

The Applied Computing Conference, which runs from May 22 through May 25, 2000, provides development engineers, technical managers, and industry leaders with the tools and information they require to develop connected, high-performance systems. A three-day product and technology expo gives attendees a first-hand look at many innovative new products. The conference has a broad range of tutorial topics including Compact PCI, Embedded Internet, IEEE 1394, InfiniBand, PCI-X, USB, Windows CE, and Windows NT Embedded.

Compaq announced that the Compaq Aero handheld computers will offer secure digital music playback capability with the availability of the new Microsoft Windows Media Player for Palm-size PCs.
