Proporta have released two new games for the Pocket PC using 3D technology. Strategic Assault is a fast paced real time strategy game, and Interstellar Flames is an intense action game.

Gary Ankney of EduPalm.org has written in with another update on the CLIE NX70V and NX60.
We reported earlier that Sony had lowered the price of the NX70V by $100; the plot thickens. When you enter Sony’s site (at http://www.sonystyle.com) and select handhelds/PDAs from the menu, you see the NX70V at the old, higher price. Choose to view any model or series and select the option to “compare now” (next to the “add to cart” button on most screens). There you will see the NX70V listed twice: PEGNX70VKIT2 at $600 and PEGNX70VKIT1 at $500. The difference? For the extra $100 you get a “free” 64MB memory stick. Both versions come with a leather case and free shipping.
Could it be that the NX70V isn’t being dropped yet, just repackaged? Maybe, but Sony claims the memory stick deal is for a limited time.
The trick with “compare now” will also let you find the NX60, which doesn’t show up on many of the other menus (other models have suffered similar fates just before being dropped).
I don’t include addresses of these pages; Sony shifts addresses within SonyStyle frequently.

CyberKey announced it is the first company to develop technology designed to overcome the issues inherent with “bad memory” blocks found on Flash-based storage devices, such as USB drives. With CyberKey’s new patent-pending Dynamic Block Management technology, content and applications stored to a CyberKey avoid the issues common with Flash-based memory devices of corrupted storage blocks, maintaining data integrity and preventing altered data files.
CyberKeys are Universal Serial Bus (USB) storage devices commonly categorized as USB drives that can be connected to personal computers or other electronics devices with a USB port.

We broke our news pages late last week after installing our latest upgrade. Oopsie. But it looks like we’ve fixed the problem. Now, that’s good news!

Gary Ankney of edupalm.org writes in with more pricing news:
Palm has reduced the price of the i705 again, from $199 to $159. The $50 rebate only applies if you subscribe to a year’s worth of wireless service. The m500 is supposedly still available at $179. However, it has been out of stock since at least February and doesn’t show up on Palm’s newest pages. The m105 is still listed here and there on Palm’s Web site, but the link to order it has been gone for months.
Sony has dropped the NX70V’s price to $499.99–the same price as the NX60. Considering that these models are about the same except for the NX70V’s built in camera, it looks like Sony may be trying to dump the NX70V.
Except for PDA/phone combinations and specialty items, none of the other Palm OS PDA producers has introduced anything new lately–or dropped prices, which makes offers from Palm and Sony increasingly more attractive by comparison.
A sales representative from Acer denied any knowledge of the possibility of his company entering the US market with their Palm OS based PDAs.
