Palm has reduced the price of the i705 again, from $199 to $159. The $50 rebate only applies if you subscribe to a year’s worth of wireless service. The m500 is supposedly still available at $179. However, it has been out of stock since at least February and doesn’t show up on Palm’s newest pages. The m105 is still listed here and there on Palm’s Web site, but the link to order it has been gone for months.

Sony has dropped the NX70V’s price to $499.99–the same price as the NX60. Considering that these models are about the same except for the NX70V’s built in camera, it looks like Sony may be trying to dump the NX70V.

Except for PDA/phone combinations and specialty items, none of the other Palm OS PDA producers has introduced anything new lately–or dropped prices, which makes offers from Palm and Sony increasingly more attractive by comparison.

A sales representative from Acer denied any knowledge of the possibility of his company entering the US market with their Palm OS based PDAs.
