This new technology, EZ Reader, uses a proprietary compression tool that allows these handheld units to store thousands of pages. Socket, Unisys agreement

Socket Communications announced an agreement to supply Unisys Corporation with a custom, ruggedized version of Socket’s Low Power Ethernet PC Card for use with the Unisys SourceNDP Network Document Processor, a compact check capture station based on Microsoft’s Windows CE operating system.
