The San Francisco Chronicle has an article on new software called Enotate. Enotate, which will be available next month, lets you add handwritten markings and comments only to Microsoft Word and PowerPoint documents and to digital photos in the industry-standard JPEG format.

Homes.com on AvantGo

Homes.com has announced that it’s teaming with AvantGo to bring the Homes.com Web portal to users of handheld devices. Called Homes.com ToGo!, the Homes.com application and real estate channel will work on all Palm Computing devices and Windows CE-based handheld devices.

HP’s JetSend

HP announced its JetSend wireless technology earlier this week. PC Week reports that the technology will be available for Windows CE devices on November 15 and for Palm devices in early 2000.

Latest version of Quicksheet

Cutting Edge Software announced the latest version of Quicksheet, the spreadsheet application for Palm Computing compatible devices. A key enhancement to version 4.1 is its integration with Quickchart 1.0, the new charting module also unveiled today. Beyond the ability to integrate with Quickchart 1.0, Quicksheet 4.1 includes support for MS Office 2000, new menus, and improved international support.

Boeing uses Satellite Forms

Puma Technology announced that inspectors at the St. Louis manufacturing facility of Boeing are employing Satellite Forms software to collect surveillance information on military planes. The pilot project at Boeing is illustrating how handheld devices like Palm devices can be used in corporations.

New thin-client computer

Sherwood Network’s latest entry into thin-client computing is the 8500WT. Sherwood has contracted with BSQUARE to provide their Windows CE software solutions for Sherwood’s 8500WT. The 8500WT is designed around industry standards such as the Windows CE operating system.

Email problems with WebTV

News.com reports that WebTV users may have had recent email problems.WebTV subscribers were unable to access emails sent immediately over the weekend. Microsoft representatives said that this was due to server upgrades over the weekend.
