
Remote Engineering, Inc. announced that they have released a beta version of their PocketDWG 2000 Filter, for use with the Windows CE drawing viewer, PocketVIEW. The new technology makes PocketVIEW compatible with all CAD systems capable of working with DWG and DXF files up through and including AutoCAD 2000.

Riverbed Technologies announced that OpenSky will license its mobile device management software, ScoutIT, as part of its next-generation wireless data service. ScoutIT will enable OpenSky to offer remote device management services such as application upgrade capabilities.

JP Systems announced that it will supply technologies to OpenSky. As part of the strategic relationship between the two companies, JP Systems will supply an email program that will allow users to retrieve emails from any Internet service provider while away from home or the office.

WeSync.com previewed its wireless synchronization solution at the PalmSource ’99 conference. Wireless Refresh is one of the features available through the company’s Web-based service. WeSync, which went into public beta today, lets handheld users share synchronized calendars and contact lists with others via private, secure, online communities that users create at the WeSync Web site. Additional data types are to be added to the service in the future, as well as a Microsoft Windows CE version.

Rand McNally has released updated versions of its trip planning and street atlas software. The new software editions, TripMaker Deluxe 2000 and StreetFinder Deluxe 2000, were designed with enhanced global positioning system (GPS) and Palm Computing platform support among other features. Both TripMaker Deluxe 2000 and StreetFinder Deluxe 2000 editions hit retail stores this month.

Nettech Systems announced that it will extend enterprise wireless data solutions for the Palm Computing platform. As part of this announcement, Nettech will also enable Palm VII developers to access enterprise data beyond the Palm.net service.

DataViz announced a free add-on for its Documents To Go product. Currently, Documents To Go allows users to view their word processing and spreadsheet files on Palm Computing organizers. The new add-on, called Attachments To Go, works with DataViz

ZDNN is reporting that Vadem released an updated version of its Clio Handhed PC Professional device. The new device is now available for $999.
