StoragePoint.com released its service permitting Web-based file transfers with Wireless Application Protocol-equipped (WAP) cell phones. The service lets StoragePoint users share folders or files. StoragePoint WebDrive supports WAP phones from Motorola, QUALCOMM, Sanyo, NeoPoint, and Samsung that have Web browsers from Phone.com over the Sprint PCS Network or the ATT PocketNet service. StoragePoint WebDrive also supports wireless handheld computers from Palm with the Ericsson WAP browser installed.

Palm and ePocrates announced an agreement to manufacture and distribute customized Palm handheld computers for physicians. Under the terms of the agreement, Palm will provide ePocrates-branded handhelds with customized labeling and packaging along with pre-loaded software especially designed for physicians. ePocrates will distribute the customized Palm handhelds to physicians
