Secret password in MS software

Here’s an article from ZDNet, which reports that Microsoft engineers included a secret password in some of the company’s Internet software. The password could be used to gain access to Internet sites worldwide.

WAP file transfers

StoragePoint.com released its service permitting Web-based file transfers with Wireless Application Protocol-equipped (WAP) cell phones. The service lets StoragePoint users share folders or files. StoragePoint WebDrive supports WAP phones from Motorola, QUALCOMM, Sanyo, NeoPoint, and Samsung that have Web browsers from Phone.com over the Sprint PCS Network or the ATT PocketNet service. StoragePoint WebDrive also supports wireless handheld computers from Palm with the Ericsson WAP browser installed.

Palm Inc. and Dell, working together

Palm, Inc. has made an agreement with Dell Computer Corporation in which Dell will market Palm handheld computer products in the United States through its direct sales channel and its electronic-commerce Web site. Dell will also work with Palm, Inc. to support the increase in customer demand for Palm, Inc. products in the business market.

Palm and ePocrates announced an agreement to manufacture and distribute customized Palm handheld computers for physicians.
