SyncML products in 2001

Ericsson, IBM, Lotus, Motorola, Nokia, Psion, Palm Inc. and Starfish Software, founders of the SyncML initiative, announced a new timetable for the development of the SyncML protocol. SyncML initiative now expects a variety of SyncML compliant products to be on the market as soon as early 2001.

GoAmerica for Visor

GoAmerica announced it will provide wireless Internet access for the Handspring Visor handheld computer. GoAmerica’s Go.Web service for the Handspring Visor will allow individuals and businesses wireless access to POP3 email, the Internet and their corporate intranet using multiple nationwide wireless data networks. Go.Web and the wireless module for the Visor are expected to be available in the third quarter of 2000.
