
MobiMate has released WorldMate Professional Edition, a mobile software suite to handle business travel.

Mapopolis announced the immediate availability of their new Bluetooth GPS Kit for Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds. The new kit includes navigation software and is available for both North America and Europe. The kit will retail for $349.99 with an expected street price of $299.99. The kit includes their Pocket PC navigation software with spoken and visual prompts and will include their Palm navigation software with spoken and visual prompts later in the month (currently Mapopolis Platinum +GPS, which provides on-device turn-by-turn directions is included, purchasers of the dual-platform version will receive a free upgrade).

Vuico, LLC and DNScorp announced a partnership to launch GoWireless Unified Mobile Messaging, a wireless unified messaging service for DNScorp’s “1-service” mobile users. Providing single-mailbox access to all message types–voice mail, email, and fax–from virtually any device, GoWireless Unified Mobile Messaging extends the productivity of Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino to mobile users. “1-service” is available for enterprise businesses and the mobile professional.

Mobility Electronics, Inc. announced its iGo branded Pitch Solo handheld presentation solution is now compatible with the Handspring Treo communicator family.

ePocrates Rx Pro, a clinical reference guide for handheld devices, is now available for Pocket PC, Palm OS, and Mac users. Also, ePocrates Rx Online, a new desktop version of ePocrates Rx that can be referenced from any computer with Internet access, is now available.

Wires-End announced the release of Handheld Contact by Wires-End v1.0 for Best Software’s ACT! contact manager. Handheld Contact extends ACT!’s functionality wirelessly to the BlackBerry.

Proporta announced Probackup for the Pocket PC, which offers full incremental backups at a touch of a button.

Karrier Communications announced the shipment of its first offering into the Symbian OS smartphone market, namely IntelliGolf for the Sony Ericsson P800. The IntelliGolf for the P800 software automates on-course golf scoring, presents performance graphs and statistics in color, and includes wireless access to an international scorecard database. With over 17,000 signature courses, users can access their favorite course wirelessly using a P800 smartphone. This avoids the manual entry of hole yardages, par ratings, and hole handicaps values.
