The DataGet Thermocouple module combines a +/-0.2C accurate temperature reference with a 24 bit Analog Digital Convertor (ADC). The unit can read from less than -300F to over 2000F making it suitable for a range of application from food safety through industrial control.

fun communications GmbH announced the fMML-library is available to developers who would like to integrate SMS-based communication via Palm Powered Organizer into their applications. The fMML is integrated into the Mobile Communication-software funSMS 3. The fMML was developed for Palm OS handhelds to enable users to send SMS messages in the GSM network irrespective of the application being used. The library sends and receives messages and allows users to send multi-part messages with more than 160 characters. A further feature of the fMML is the preset configurations for more than 150 global network providers.

AvantGo gets 2nd patent

AvantGo, Inc. announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the Company its second patent. Apple introduces iSync

Apple introduced iSync, a product that synchronizes address books and calendars between Mac computers and the new generation of Bluetooth-enabled GPRS mobile phones, Palm OS devices, and Apple’s iPod portable digital music player. Handspring, Inc. announced sales, marketing, and distribution programs targeted towards enterprise and small to medium business customers. The company is responding to increased interest from the corporate sector in the Treo family of products.
