AvantGo, Inc. announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the Company its second patent. Patent number 6,421,717 covers the technology that enables enterprises to deliver robust applications involved in automating field force activities to mobile devices in an always-available mode. The patent includes the synchronization and customization of XML based Web services, applications, and data for applications where field data and transaction integrity are critical.
