Palm Boulevard reports Kyocera Wireless Corp. announced a new version of the Kyocera Smartphone Portable Keyboard developed specifically for the upcoming Kyocera 7135 smartphone. According to the article, it was developed in partnership with Think Outside and is designed to provide the same size, feel, and response as many of the best notebook computer keyboards.

ETS, Inc. announced the upcoming release of their new product, da Vinci, The Data Architect for the Palm OS platform. da Vinci is a database designer and code generation tool, designed for use with Metrowerks CodeWarrior Development Tools for Palm OS, Version 8. da Vinci is designed to allow a development team to reduce the complexity and accelerate the completion of these data-driven applications by providing an interface for the design of Palm OS databases and generating code that a developer would otherwise need to write manually in a time consuming process.

CNET News.com has an article on Peter Hirschberg, a programmer and self-avowed fan of classic video games, who has created LEDhead for Palm OS handhelds. According to the article, LEDhead manages “to capture much of the essence of the simple games, which consisted of a few blinking light-emitting diodes (LEDs) moving around a painted screen.”
