Robots from around the world are coming to San Francisco to compete in the fourth annual International RoboGames. Over 800 robots will be competing in 61 different events – combat, soccer, sumo, basketball, fire-fighting, android races, android acrobatics, art robots, iron-man exoskeleton weight lifting, robot hockey, and even android kung-fu. Teams from 30 countries and every continent will be attending.

Researchers at eEye Digital Security are reporting multiple vulnerabilities in Yahoo Messenger they say hackers can use to remotely execute code.

Yahoo spokesperson Terrell Karlsten confirmed the company is looking into a buffer overflow issue in an Active X control.

If a phone is lost, owners just need to send an SMS message to their phone from a paired phone to lock down the phone so that a password is required to access the data. Kinoma has released an update to Kinoma Player EX bringing it up to v4.2. Kinoma media player software brings streaming flash video support for videos from YouTube and Google Video to the Palm OS and has a vast built-in, online media guide. Updates include faster performance, with enhanced guide caching, streaming compatibility improvements, more radio and TV stations including live traffic cameras and support for Bluetooth headphones via Softick Audio Gateway.

An AT&T employee who works on Operations tells Gizmodo the carrier ordered a last-minute beefing up of its EDGE throughput, latency and coverage in anticipation of the iPhone. The operation, internally referenced as “Fine Edge” will continue until June 15th, and has been going on for as many as 6 weeks.
