Platinum Entertainment announced it is providing all of the initial digital music content for Casio’s new Cassiopeia E-100 color palm-size PC. More than three hours of content from Platinum’s catalog, in Microsoft’s Windows Media format, will be included with the Cassiopeia E-100 Multimedia Pack on CD-ROM. An additional 80 minutes of classical music is available on Kingston Technology’s 48MB CompactFlash.

Opus360 Corporation and AvantGo announced today they are partnering to deliver a handheld device extension to Opus Enterprise, Opus360’s Web-based application that allows service organizations to manage resources and projects. The first module of Opus Enterprise to be extended to handheld devices using AvantGo’s enterprise software will be Opus’ time reporting module. For example, with AvantGo, mobile professionals can fill out timesheets directly from their handheld devices. The information entered on the handheld device will then be uploaded to the Opus Enterprise Web-based application via synchronization through AvantGo.

Available in the New York Metropolitan tri-state area, the Palm VII device offers users instant access to up-to-the-minute weather information from the all-weather network’s Web site. The Palm VII organizer enables users to access information from The Weather Channel database of more than 1,300 domestic cities including the latest local conditions, five-day forecasts and severe weather updates via a wireless connection to the Internet.
