Macmillan Computer Publishing and EA SPORTS announced that they are now shipping Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Golf for Palm Computing connected organizers. The game allows you to compete as or against Tiger Woods and seven other top PGA TOUR members including Brad Faxon, Peter Jacobsen, Lee Janzen, Tom Kite, Davis Love III, Mark O’Meara and Craig Stadler.

New modem for handhelds

Trogon Computer Corporation announced its Unimicro 56K V.90 modem. It is designed to work with 3Com’s Palm computers, palm-sized PCs, Handheld PCs, notebooks and desktops. The launch date for this modem is tentatively scheduled for August 2nd. The MSRP is $129.

Timberline Software Corporation announced plans to release Precision Palm Estimating, an application for handheld personal digital assistants (PDAs). Precision Palm Estimating will enable estimators to use a PDA to take off key project information at the job site and then synchronize the device with desktop software to generate a detailed estimate. The software is being developed for 3Com Palm Computing and Microsoft Windows CE operating systems.
