Pendragon Forms 3.0

Pendragon Software announced Pendragon Forms 3.0 for the Palm Computing Platform, which can synchronize bidirectionally with Microsoft Access and ODBC data sources. Version 3.0 delivers synchronization with server databases such as SQL Server and Oracle, and supports the WaveSync synchronization server. The new software runs on the Palm Computing devices including the Palm IIIx, Palm V, Palm VII and the SPT-1500 from Symbol Technologies.

Wireless Dept. of Defense

InfoWorld has this article which details the United States Department of Defense’s decision to spend $248 million on Windows CE devices. According to the article, the DoD did not choose the Windows CE platform outright, it’s just that the Windows CE platform suited its needs.

Palm to use WAP

Thanks to reader Felix Hagno for sending in this article from CNN Interactive. CNN’s article suggests that Palm Computing may use technology called Wireless Access Protocol for possible use in Palm computers. This could bring new Web browsing capabilities to Palm devices.

Edwards & Company has selected Synchrologic to provide the strategic architectural layer for mobile applications within the OneWorld family of enterprise business software. The company has licensed iMobile Data Synchronization, part of Synchrologic’s recently announced iMobile Suite.

TeleVideo licenses CE

TeleVideo announced TeleVideo’s licensing of the Microsoft Windows CE operating system for its TeleCLIENT family of thin client Windows-based terminals. Windows CE gives the TC7000, TC7150 and TC7170 server-side access to Windows-based business applications such as the Microsoft Office suite, Java, as well as the Internet.
