New Palm.Net service plan

Palm, Inc. also announced a new service plan for its Palm.Net service. Called the new “Unlimited Access Pricing Plan”, you can now have access to Internet content and e-mail for $44.99 per month.

Palm IIIxe, Portable Keyboard

Palm, Inc. introduced the Palm IIIxe handheld computer. The Palm IIIxe product has a dark-slate case, 8MB of memory and an estimated retail price of U.S. $249. Palm also announced shipment of the Palm Portable Keyboard, a collapsible full-size keyboard that enables data entry from any Palm computer. The Palm Portable Keyboard is now available worldwide for an estimated street price of U.S. $99.

Palm, Lotus join initiative

ZDNet reports that Psion will team up with companies such as Palm, Lotus, IBM, Starfish, Motorola and Nokia to for the SyncML Initiative. The SyncML Initiative’s goal is to develop an open standard for synchronizing data across different computer platforms.
