
CNET News.com reports Bluetooth will be taking a slightly smaller bite out of the wireless-networking market than previously expected, according to new projections.

Consolidated High School District 230 of Orland Park, Illinois is a pioneer in the deployment of handheld computers to students. Nearly 1,700 students and 65 teachers are participating in the program, each equipped with Palm handheld computers and a variety of useful software programs, providing an anytime/anywhere learning environment unparalleled in the country. To enable students to print their assignments directly from their handhelds, the school district has chosen to implement Bachmann Software’s PrintBoy Deluxe utility, a printing application for the Palm OS platform.

The Gadgeteer is running an “Only In Your Dreams” PDA Contest in which you have a chance to design your dream PDA. You can draw it by hand, scan it, or Photoshop it and send it in with an explanation of each function. The contest ends May 31st, 2001, and prizes will be announced on June 4.

SinPalm.com announced it now offers more features, including the ability to add a personal profile so that users can message other users with similar interests or find a friend in their area. They have also added two news feeds, both gay and straight, that are updated several times a day with sex and porn-related stories. A Flash demo of the new features is available.
