The Register has an article on reports that Sony and Microsoft are developing competing handheld gaming machines to complement their respective consoles, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. According to the article, Sony’s unit is derived from its CLIE organizer, and Microsoft’s unit is based on its Pocket PC platform.
