
SilliconValley.com has an opinion piece by Mike Lanberg that suggests Handspring’s new Treo 180 communicator might be another dud when it comes to combining a PDA with a cell phone.

Saunders, manufacturer and marketer of the RhinoSkin brand of cases for handheld devices, has announced the lowering of its prices for RhinoSkin Aluminum and Titanium Hardcases. All Aluminum cases will now be $34.95, down from $49.95 and Titanium cases will be $69.95 down from $99.95.

PalmBasket Inc., a provider of Palm OS-based retail and eCommerce solutions, announced that Gregory Miller has become a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Miller is currently Managing Director and President of Universal Studios Port Aventura, a 2,000 acre destination resort on the Mediterranean coast of Spain which includes Europe’s second largest theme park, a water park, and hotels. Handspring and mm02 announced that mm02 will distribute and market Handspring’s Treo family. The companies will work together during the first quarter of this year to launch Treo via mmO2 networks in the UK (Cellnet), the Netherlands (Telfort), Germany (Viag), and Ireland (Digifone).

InStep Group has released InStep Fax, an add-on component for InStep Print that allows Palm OS handheld users to print and fax their word processing and spreadsheet documents, email messages, information from the clipboard, calendar, and address book contacts.
