Karrier Communications announced their new IntelliGolf/IntelliSwim sports software bundle. The IntelliGolf software automates golf scoring, wagering, and shot tracking. The IntelliSwim software times, totals, and graphs swimmer performance. At $49.95 customers will save $30.00 as compared to purchasing both products separately.

Palm has issued a press release to annuonce the PalmSource Conference and Expo, the premier gathering of the Palm OS community. It will take place from February 5-8, 2002 at the San Jose Convention Center, San Jose, California.

Handmedia to launch handhelds

Handmedia, a new company just joining the handheld PDA market, announced their new line of handheld devices running the Palm OS. No Web site was available, but according to the somewhat cryptic press release, Handmedia the handhelds will feature never-before-seen features, including up to 128 megabytes of RAM. With the new series of handhelds you would be able to add an optional GPS unit and/or a Bluetooth card. The new series of handhelds would feature new, high-resolution color screens. Palm OS 5 to be announced

InfoWorld reports Palm will unveil OS 5 at PalmSource the week of February 4 in San Jose, California. According to the article, three significant improvements include the ability to use multitasking and multithreading in applications, improved performance using OS 5 with the faster processor, and compatibility with current applications.
