AvantGo announced that it has joined the Star Partner Program of BEA Systems, Inc. AvantGo also announced that its AvantGo M-Business Server, AvantGo Mobile Delivery and AvantGo Mobile Sales applications now support BEA WebLogic Server, enabling customers to extend their existing Web-based enterprise applications to mobile and wireless devices using AvantGo’s enterprise mobile software.

There is now a new release of the time reporting program SDS Time. The new release adds color support and also support for the Clie Jog Dial navigator. SDS Time is a spreadsheet oriented time reporting program for consultants, lawyers, and other people working by hour. The program provides an overview of the reported times with a day, week, and month view including day, task, and week totals.

The American Kennel Club has launched a set of 12 PDA Pocketgram programs for purebred AKC breed standards. The first set of 12 introductory Purebred Dog Pocket Breed Standards includes Australian Shepherd, Basset Hound, Beagle, Border Collie, Boxer, Cocker Spaniel, Dachshund, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Poodle, and Shetland Sheepdog.

Electric Pocket announced the availability of Ringo, a free application that enables owners of Handspring’s Treo Communicator to compose and share custom ringtones or download and install new ringtones from the Internet.

Handspring announced that their communicator, Treo, will be available through Orange Switzerland, a provider of Swiss mobile communications services. Treo will be operational on Orange Switzerland

Palm Boulevard reports the Bluetooth SD Card from Palm has finally made an appearance on the Palm Web site. According to the article, the card does not appear to be available for purchase at this time although Palm representatives have stated that the card would be out this week.

EXideas. Inc. announced its second product MessagEaseKB based on its Patent protected text entry technology. MessagEaseKB can replace a Palm handheld’s keyboard and is designed to allow users to enter full text faster than Palm’s Graffiti or QWERTY keyboard from any Palm OS application
