
SCOTTeVEST LLC introduced a new addition to the SCOTTeVEST product line, the SCOTTeVEST Sport Lite. The Sport Lite incorporates the patent-pending Technology Enabled Clothing (TEC) system and costs less than $100. The SCOTTeVEST is designed to allow people to discreetly hold, conceal, and connect several electronic devices including cell phones, GPS units, PDAs (personal digital assistant), and CD/MP3 players.

Handspring Inc. announced the availability of the Treo 270 communicator in China in partnership with CEC Telecom Co., Ltd., (CECT), and GrandTech. CECT will be responsible for final assembly and manufacturing in China and GrandTech, as Handspring’s sole distributor in Asia, will be responsible for marketing and distribution. The new metallic silver Treo will be sold as the CECT Treo 270 and is anticipated to be available in business channels and leading mobile phone and IT stores within the next 30 days.

Wireless Software reports Infowave Software announced the availability of the Workgroup Edition of Infowave Mobile Messaging, a wireless software solution designed to enable up to fifteen mobile users to access their corporate email and calendar using any wireless Pocket PC 2002 or Palm OS device on virtually any wireless network. The solution offers mobile access to Microsoft Exchange and allows users to send and receive email and schedule appointments just as if they were sitting at their desk.
