Maxtor multimedia drive

Disk drive maker Maxtor said it is shipping a new desktop PC drive with up to 300 gigabytes of capacity. The drives include the relatively new serial-attached ATA interface and are designed to help consumers run multiple applications, such as games and music, at the same time without overwhelming their PC systems.

A new member of the Mydoom family is spreading through an email claiming to contain funny photos, opening backdoors attackers could use to gain remote control of infected machines. For the worm to strike, McAfee said victims must manually open the infected email attachment.
