T-Mobile USA announced the availability of the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic phone. HTC announced a Windows Mobile 6.1 software and display performance update for the TyTN II users in Europe. The TyTN II is the first HTC branded device to receive this update and HTC looks forward to providing similar updates for certain carrier and HTC-branded devices in the near future. Since the advent of the PDA–and to a lesser degree, cell phones and laptops–workers have been decrying the end of vacation as they know it. Technology has given employers the ability to reach workers at all times in all places–making it impossible for employees to maintain boundaries between times off and being on-the-clock. Delldeceived customers in a massive “bait and switch” scheme to increase sales of its computer and electronic products, a New York state judge ruled Tuesday. State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo sued Dell in 2007 on behalf of hundreds of customers who claimed that the electronics company lured them into buying products with promises of attractive deals and promotions.

In reality, the lawsuit alleged, most customers were denied or misled into believing that they had been approved for low interest or financing rates. The lawsuit also accused Dell of depriving customers of technical support that they were entitled to, in some instances, by pressuring them into performing repairs on their own or subjecting them to long wait times on the phone. In a 26-page decision, Supreme Court Justice Joseph C. Teresi found in favor of the consumers.
