New cases from MarWare

MarWare announced the redesign and expansion of its product line. The new line of neoprene cases is being released under the name SportSuit and has been expanded to include three case styles and various color choices. The SportSuit and SportSuit II are neoprene cases, offering new internal pockets for storage, a pen loop, a rugged zipper, a reinforced plastic ring for attaching a handle, a belt loop, and an external pocket.

Microsoft’s book deals

Microsoft announced that it is joining forces with Penguin Books to put out a series of classic books on Microsoft Reader which will be available early next year in English and later on in other languages. News.com is reporting that Microsoft also made deals with Italian publisher Mondadori, and French publisher Editions 00h00.com.

Odyssey Software, Total Control

Odyssey Software furthered its strategic marketing alliance with Total Control Products by joining their new Windows CE Partner’s Program. As part of the program, Odyssey Software’s CEfusion product has been certified to work with the FactoryClient 2000 Windows CE-based shop floor terminal, and Total Control will now begin to deliver properly installed and licensed versions of CEfusion.

Mobile ASP

eALITY announced that it has fully integrated its flagship service, eALITY eXPress, with Palm Computing’s handheld wireless Palm Computing organizers. As a “mobile ASP” service, this integration provides access to eALITY eXPress automated Web-based expense reports via any handheld Palm organizer.

Aviator’s Power Bundle

Palmtop Publishing introduced the Instrument Edition Aviator’s KnowledgeTest Power Bundle for the Palm operating system. The bundle includes two pocket-sized software programs — Instrument Pilot Pocket Review and the Instrument Edition Aviator’s Pocket Reference, plus the Gleim Instrument Pilot FAA Written Exam test prep book.

CE Fusion Enterprise 1.53

Odyssey Software announced the release of version 1.53 of their CEfusion Enterprise Edition connectivity suite. By increasing the throughput and scalability of its communication architecture and enhancing the functionality of its CEfusion client-side COM objects, Odyssey Software has allowed developers creating applications for the Microsoft Windows CE operating system to improve their time-to-market in delivering mobile applications with direct access to enterprise information.
