Certicom secures Intellisync.com

Certicom announced a licensing agreement whereby Puma will secure its free Internet-based synchronization service, Intellisync.com, with encryption technology designed by Certicom. Scheduled to be available in the first calendar quarter of 2000, Intellisync.com will allow anyone with Internet access to keep PC applications, mobile devices, and Web-based content and services synchronized from one central address on the Internet.

Heineken.com has selected MapQuest.com to provide mapping solutions for its online bar locator, the Heineken BarTrek. MapQuest.com will help users find recommended bars when traveling to cities in Europe, Asia and North America by providing maps and routing on the Heineken Web site.

V-One Corporation announced that they have joined with Sharp Electronics to form a strategic alliance that will target specific vertical markets for VPN-secured connectivity over handheld PCs. Joint sales and marketing initiatives by the two companies promoting V-One’s SmartGate VPN for Windows CE from Microsoft and Sharp’s Mobilon line of handheld PCs will enable specific sectors to extend the enterprise.

Games from Casio Soft

CASIO Soft announced Bubblets and GolfPRO, the first games in its new “Fun To Go” line of gaming and entertainment products. Bubblets is a fast-paced puzzle game for Windows 98/95/NT PCs, and Palm OS and Windows CE mobile devices. It is CASIO Soft’s first retail release for the Palm OS and Windows PC markets. Golf PRO is a Windows CE-based game that will ship with a single golf course. It will have up to 10 add-on courses available during the year.
