IQMax announced its development of two new software applications known as the IQReader and the IQCard. The software allows users of PDAs to securely access and store large amounts of information. It also extends the device’s processing power.

Vindigo announced the availability of a Vindigo Conduit for the Macintosh, allowing Apple Macintosh users to make use of its free mobile service for Palm OS-based handheld devices. Vindigo’s service provides mobile entertainment guides and local content for Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. According to the press release, “This addition of a Mac conduit supports Vindigo’s goal of offering its service to every handheld user.”
