IQMax Inc. and Sparrow Systems announced their new medical coding software, the IQCoder. According to the press release, it utilizes the Visor and Palm platforms to increase the accuracy of billing information in both hospitals and private practices by allowing physicians and healthcare professionals to electronically assign medical billing codes to a patient

GSM Manager 1.3 released

Sunnysoft has released GSM Manager version 1.3 for Windows CE devices. The software manages phonebook and text messages. Pocket PC devices are not yet supported.

Palm products at THE WIZ

Yahoo has a press release from THE WIZ, an electronics retailer, touting the great number of products the store has available for the back-to-school season. The Palm product line is mentioned, described as being great for taking notes in a lecture or contacting a study partner. The press release notes the newest edition to the product line, the Palm m100, is already becoming a hit with the back-to-school crowd.

Market for Sony handheld

PurePalm.com has an article suggesting the new Sony handheld using the Palm OS is starting to look more like a Pocket PC than a Palm device given all the features rumored to be packed into it. Considering Palm has always traded on its simplicity, the author wonders just what the market might be for such a feature rich device as Sony is offering.
