
CNNfn has an article on Handspring’s plans to buy Bluelark Systems, a provider of mobile Internet-access technology.

Handspring, Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Bluelark Systems, Inc. of Mountain View Calif., developers of Blazer and BlueSky, a Palm OS Web browser and proxy server system that enable fast, seamless Internet access from handheld computers.

Wired.com has an article on Consolidated High School District 230 in Orland Park, IL. According to the article, after a semester of successfully incorporating Palm IIIxe handhelds into class lessons, the school district plans to expand the program next year.

Firepad, Inc. announced that it will release an Apple Macintosh version of its FireConverter program in January 2001. FireConverter enables the conversion of graphics in JPEG, GIF, and other common formats into the standard format for viewing on Palm handhelds.
