Alphamania word puzzle

Quantum Clockwork has just released Alphamania v1.0.0 for the Palm OS. The game features jigsaw puzzles made from letters. The object of the game is to arrange the 16 letter tiles into the central grid so that each row makes a word, and each column also makes a word.

DataViz in Latin America

DataViz, Inc. announced that it has expanded its presence into Latin America through a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro. Under the agreement, the Spanish edition of Documents To Go will be made available in the Latin American countries of Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Venezuela, enabling users to view and edit Word, Excel, and other files on their handheld devices.

Vindigo gets more funding

CNET News.com reports Vindigo, a mobile entertainment guide provider whose software provides movie listings and restaurant reviews to Palm OS handhelds, “has closed a second round of funding and trimmed 14 percent of its staff as it looks to stretch the new funds until the company reaches profitability.”

SplashData updates

SplashData has released free updates to SplashPhoto and SplashMoney. SplashPhoto 2.6 now supports Palm m500 series SD cards and Sony CLIE Memory Stick. SplashMoney 2.1 supports additional transaction types (ATM and EFT) and improves the automatic check numbering function, among other minor enhancements. This is in addition to the many features added to version 2.0 in mid-June.
