Palm, Inc. introduced the Palm Tungsten W handheld, the first Palm branded integrated GSM/GPRS wireless handheld with a built-in keyboard, one-handed navigation, and a high-resolution color screen. With carrier activation, the Palm Tungsten W handheld is designed to provide a combination of wireless email, SMS messaging, phone functionality, business applications, and Palm’s Personal Information Management (PIM) software. Palm also announced business alliances with four key carriers from around the world, including AT&T Wireless, Rogers AT&T Wireless, Vodafone, and SingTel.

Palm, Inc. introduced the Palm Tungsten T handheld. It has a high-resolution 320×320 color display and integrated Bluetooth wireless communication capabilities. The Palm Tungsten T handheld features a slider design, 5-way navigation, and one-touch voice recording. The navigation and application buttons reside on the new “slider,” which glides open when users need to input data using Palm’s Graffiti alphabet. For simply viewing and navigating information the slider can remain closed, leaving the device in its most compact state. The new one-handed 5-way navigator activates up, down, left and right, and select.

New service plans for the Treo 300 are available now at Handspring.com. Treo 300 customers can now choose from a variety of plans that include unlimited data options, free nights and weekends, and free long distance. In addition, new customers who purchase a Treo 300 and activate a new mobile service plan from Sprint by November 2, 2002 will receive a $50 Sprint mail-in rebate on their purchase.

DataViz, Inc and Palm, Inc announced that DataViz’s Documents To Go Professional Edition Version 5 will be included with the new Palm Tungsten T handheld from Palm, Inc. This is the first Palm OS 5 handheld to ship with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint compatible files in the box.
