Pumatech acquires Synchrologic

Palm released update for Tungsten W

InfoSync reports that Palm released the first major update for its Tungsten W wireless handheld, improving a slew of functions and adding new features. One update is in the VersaMail email client, this is now at version 2.5.2 and offers features such as Auto Get mail with notification, the ability to synchronize with Lotus Notes and mail folders.

CLIE helps tourists in Hawaii

The Honolulu Advertiser reports that Sony is marketing a handheld computer =20 navigation system using its CLI=C9 handheld computer to help Japanese=20 tourists get around the Hawaiian island of O’ahu. The electronic tour=20 guide, called Leplan, directs visitors to tourist spots with the aim of=20 making them feel more secure about getting to their destination safely.
