XTNDConnect PC version 4.8

Palm Boulevard reports Extended Systems has released XTNDConnect PC version 4.8. XTNDConnect PC is a software application that enables individual users to synchronize various personal information management applications, such as contacts, calendar, and email to a desktop or laptop computer. It supports Palm OS, and supported PC applications include Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Organizer, Lotus Notes, ACT!, Goldmine, and NetManage Ecco Pro applications.

Addition4Palm 1.1 released

Addition has released version 1.1 of the Addition4Palm spreadsheet. This is the first shareware version of the spreadsheet formely known has Abacus. Addition4Palm now includes Windows, Macintosh and Linux/java synchronization.

Handspring, Inc. announced availability of the Treo 270 in Australia. Treo 270 is a full-colour wireless communicator that integrates a mobile phone, wireless applications like email and Internet browsing, and a Palm OS organiser all in one. Treo 270 has been certified for use on the Vodafone network and will be available through retailers including Strathfield, Harvey Norman, Harris Technology, Downtown Duty Free, Vodafone stores, and Optus World. Pricing and availability will vary with individual operator service contracts. Without a service contract the Treo 270 will sell for AUD$1,599 including GST.
