You can now listen to the music from your iPhone in the car with Belkin’s new TuneBase FM for iPhone and iPod and TuneCast Auto for iPhone and iPod. Corsair announced that it is expanding its Flash Voyager and Flash Survivor USB family lines with new 32GB capacity offerings. The new Corsair 32GB Flash Voyager and Flash Survivor USB drives will be debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show 2008 in Las Vegas.

Lexar Media announced that all its new Gaming Edition memory cards, including Gaming Edition Memory Stick PRO Duo and Gaming Edition SD cards, will now include free downloadable Xploder Lite software. The innovative software is specifically designed to enhance the gaming experience for users of Sony PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii Entertainment Systems. It will be included in 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB capacity versions of Lexar Gaming Edition Memory Stick PRO Duo and in 1GB and 2GB versions of Gaming Edition SD cards.

For the ultimate gaming experience, Xploder Lite software offers four versions of advanced cheat and media tools, specific to the gaming system preferred. SLIMMER SANDISK SSD TARGETS NEW NOTEBOOKS–Joining SanDisk’s growing portfolio of solid-state drives (SSDs) for portable computers is a slimmed-down 1.8-inch Serial ATA (SATA II) model that is aimed at a new generation of ultralight notebooks. Designed to be a drop-in replacement for hard disk drives, the new SATA drive is just 5mm thick and weighs 40 grams–about 30 percent less than a same-size hard disk drive. It uses a SATA II interface and an industry standard micro SATA connector, and consumes only .85 watts in read/write mode and .2W when idle. Availability is planned for the second quarter of 2008 in capacities of up to 72GB. PC manufacturers are expected to launch the new thin and light laptops for the corporate market later this year.

SANDISK CRUZER CROSSFIRE IN 8 GIGABYTES–PC gamers can store their game data, download portable casual games and demonstrations, and save their replays with the new 8GB SanDisk Cruzer Crossfire USB flash drive. Introduced in 2006, the Cruzer Crossfire line, distinguished by its hard plastic shell and multiple colors, had been offered in capacities of up to 4GB. The new capacity, with its black body and green trim on the cap, is expected to ship to retailers worldwide this quarter, at a suggested retail price of $129.99.

NEW CAPACITY UPGRADE FOR SANDISK MEMORY STICK PRO DUO–Owners of the popular Sony PSP (Playstation Portable) will soon be able to buy SanDisk Memory Stick PRO Duo gaming cards in an 8GB capacity. This new card, offered in a translucent green, allows users to save game data as well as store and play digital music, videos and still photos. Previously, the highest capacity had been 4GB. The card is expected to ship this month at a suggested retail price of $149.99.

Swedish tech company Tonium Laboratories announced the release of Pacemaker, a professional pocket-sized DJ system. While Pacemaker is a product that speaks to fans of dance and electronic music, this ground breaking device will capture the imaginations of all music fans. Pacemaker will allow you to create mixes of any musical style, giving you the ability to seamlessly mix between tracks and to produce new sounds. What was once thought to be exclusively available to DJs and producers is now readily available to everyone.

Pacemaker allows two tracks to be played simultaneously and boasts all the functionality of a full, professional DJ set up. The intelligent software will automatically work out the BPMs (beats per minute) of each of your tracks, enabling you to quickly learn to match the beats between two tracks and create a DJ mix. Pacemaker works with both PC and MAC and supports all the major audio formats including MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG and FLAC files.

SanDisk Corporation announced capacity increases for two of its most popular flash-based digital media players: the tiny Sansa Clip moves to a top capacity of 4GB from 2GB, while the powerful Sansa View jumps to 32GB from a previous top capacity of 16GB. The new capacities were announced during a press conference at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show.
