Adobe promises emergency patch for Flash, Reader bugs

Out-of-cycle patches for Adobe Flash Player 10 and Acrobat and Reader versions 9, 10, and X will be released next week. The patches are being released early after malware was discovered to be exploiting the bugs.

Facebook Users Don’t Understand Privacy?

The security firm Sophos ran a test to see if Facebook users were aware of privacy issues by creating a phony ID and inviting strangers to “friend” it. The results were unsettling. Over 40 percent “friended” the ID, exposing the personal data in their Facebook account.

Twitter clamps down on client apps

Apparently, Twitter doesn’t want an app store to rival Apple. Twitter has told developers to stop building new apps and to expect stricter enforcement of terms and conditions on existing apps.

Motorola Xoom Gets Flash Update, Finally

Starting today, Motorola will be pushing out an update to Xoom tablets to support Adobe Flash. The update will include support for Flash Player 10.2.
