Handspring’s stock springs up

While it wasn’t the rocket we saw in Palm’s IPO in March, Handspring’s stock managed to spring 35 percent in its first day of trading.

Handspring priced IPO

Handspring priced its IPO at $20 per share. ZDNet says that the IPO priced above the price range of $17 and $19.

GPS module for Visor

GeoDiscovery announced a suite of products, applications, and content resources that offer services to travelers and mobile workers through applications based on the Palm OS. The first product implementation from GeoDiscovery will be the Geode, a GPS module to support the Handspring Visor. The Geode is expected to ship end of summer, 2000.

Flash memory bundled with MiniJam

Here’s a press release found on MP3.com. SanDisk Corporation announced that its flash memory MultiMediaCard will be bundled for sale along with Innogear’s MiniJam Springboard module.The MiniJam Springboard Module will be available this summer.

1GB Microdrive

ZDNet reports that IBM said it is set to ship its Microdrive, a small one-gigabyte hard drive for handheld computer devices, such as personal digital assistants and digital cameras.
