
Coola Inc. announced that it has entered into partnerships with seven major providers of document reader software for Palm and other handheld devices. The new partnership agreements are with Blue Nomad LLC, Cutting Edge Software, iSilo, Qvadis, RichReader, TealPoint Software, and TomeRaider.

ZDNet reports Palm has invested in SiPix, which is working on a pint-sized thermal printer that can be used with handhelds that use Palm’s operating system.

ZDNet has an article outlining the details of the new Palm devices rumored to be on the way. The article quotes sources close to the company as saying Palm is working on two new systems: a black-and-white model priced at about $495 in France, and a 16-bit-color configuration to cost roughly $635.
