HanDBase Sync Exchange for Filemaker

DDH Software, Inc. announced the release of its entirely new HanDBase Macintosh/Filemaker Pro conduit for Palm OS users, titled HanDBase Sync Exchange for Filemaker. This add-on tool enables Macintosh HanDBase users bi-directional synchronization between their Palm HanDBase data-files and Filemaker running on a Macintosh desktop or notebook computer.

American Management Association (AMA) and MobileSoft announced that AMA will offer its members and customers the opportunity to create their own mobile radio show that they can download from the Internet. Through MobileSoft enterprise software and professional services, AMA customers will be able to customize a daily audio program by selecting the latest business news and industry information that interests them. Their individual programs, which can be timed to the exact length of their commute, can be downloaded from the Web to all major brand MP3 players, Palm handhelds, and CD Players.

GoAmerica supports Palm i705

GoAmerica, Inc. announced plans to support the new Palm i705 wireless handheld from Palm, Inc. The Palm i705 handheld features always-on “push” secure end-to-end email for corporate email accounts. AudioList released

WakefieldSoft, LLC has just released AudioList, a CD, cassette tape, album, and music database software application for the Palm OS. The AudioList Plus version includes a PC companion interface, while AudioList Lite is for the Palm OS only.

Treo line launched in Hong Kong

Handspring, Inc. announced retail availability of the compact communicator, the Treo 180 and 180g, to customers in Hong Kong. Treo combines the functions of a mobile phone and a handheld computer with Web browsing and text messaging. The announcement marks the first commercial availability of the product. Treo can be purchased for HKD 4380.00 at both SmarTone operator stores and select IT outlets.

Localization project for Treo

Paragon Software and MDS Holdings, the official distributor of Handspring in Central and Eastern Europe, have recently continued their mutual localization project, started in 1999. As agreed for the year 2002, Paragon Software (SHDD) and MDS Holdings will localize Handspring Treo product line into 15 European languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Turkish and Ukrainian.
