Coca-Cola is launching an Internet music download service in Britain next month. Wired reports that in January Coca-Cola will begin selling music downloads from a catalog of 250,000 songs supplied from each of the five major music labels.

Sharp said that it and Canadian software developer BitFlash have developed a type of electronic display system for viewing business documents on mobile phones. According to Forbes, the new technology allows word processing files, spreadsheets and presentations to be displayed on a mobile phone, complete with a zoom function.

PalmInfoCenter reports that palmOne has confirmed that it will no longer be offering the previously announced 1.3 Mega-pixel SDIO Digital Camera. The camera should be available in mid-January under the Veo brand.

The Washington Post reviews the Motorola MPx200, the first cell phone available in the United States with Microsoft’s Smartphone 2002 Pocket PC software. The review says that once you plug the phone into a PC running Windows 98 or later, its ActiveSync software automatically updates the MPx200’s address book, calendar, to-do list and email inbox, but not text notes, with the records in Microsoft Outlook.
