Matsushita develops new dry-cell batteries

Matsushita has developed a new dry-cell battery they report lasts 1.5-2 times longer than conventional alkaline batteries. The Oxyride Dry-cell Batteries will initially be available in AA, with AAA size to follow later. The new batteries are scheduled to be available in Japan in April 2004 with global shipping in the near future.
