To begin with, the company has introduced an all-new Mac version of HanDBase Desktop, providing Mac OS X users with the ability to make changes to databases from the convenience of their desktop.

Dataviz has released a free update to Documents To Go Premium Edition 8 with new PDF-related features. This update includes support for security-enabled PDF files, specifically RC4 encrypted and password-protected PDF files. Encrypted PDF files can now be decrypted and viewed on the handheld or smartphone. Similar to the user-experience on the desktop, password-protection support ensures only those individuals with the proper password are able to access confidential or proprietary content within protected PDF files. Support for eFax.com PDF format. This web-based service allows customers to receive faxes as PDF e-mail attachments. Now, in addition to MyFax.com, Documents To Go customers can access faxes received from the eFax.com service.

Remoba, developer of software solutions for mobile phones, releases its latest build of “Remo.” Remo is a software application that provides access to email, contacts, and calendar on every day mobile phones with synchronizing capabilities to your personal or corporate computer. Remo is compatible with Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes, and Palm Desktop software. The email application accepts POP, POP3, and IMAP formats as well as any Internet based email account such as Hotmail, Yahoo, and gMail. With Remo, regular mobile phones become high-end PDA/Smart Phones for a fraction of the cost.

Enpocket has launched “Total Football.” Total Football puts detailed statistics and scores at football (soccer for us Yanks) fanatics’ fingertips. The application is now available, for the first time, on a range of BenQ-Siemens handsets. Total Football, built and powered by the Enpocket Content Engine, offers real-time access to an unparalleled range of football information. It provides scores, tables and detailed profiles of teams and players from over 40 leagues across 29 countries, as well as information on tournaments such as the upcoming Fifa World Cup 2006 and the UEFA Champions league.

NS BASIC announced the release of NS Basic/CE 6.1, which features full support for SQLite, a popular, easy to use industry standard SQL based database engine. NS Basic/CE is a VB-like development tool. It allows the development of applications on a Windows desktop computer which will run on Windows Mobile, Pocket PC and Windows CE devices. A unique feature of the development tool is that it can also be used on the device to develop apps. Also announced is NS Basic/Desktop 2.1, which adds support for SQLite as well. NS Basic/Desktop allows apps to be created for Windows XP and Windows 2000. Code for NS Basic/Desktop and NS Basic/CE is interchangeable, so it is easy to write applications that run on Windows Mobile, CE, Pocket PC, XP and 2000.

SanDisk introduced the SanDisk Ultra II Mobile line of flash memory cards for multimedia-enabled mobile phones. The SanDisk Ultra II Mobile memory cards have faster read and write speeds than standard flash memory cards, as well as longer warranty periods. Faster read/write speeds improve performance of the card for file transfer and play on personal computers. Also, they may reduce the energy consumption on the batteries of certain phones and are expected to accommodate performance requirements of future mobile phone models.

SanDisk introduced a new 4GB capacity for its standard Memory Stick PRO Duo cards. The announcement was made at the CeBIT Show in Hannover, Germany. The move to a larger capacity Memory Stick PRO Duo card is in response to the release of new high-megapixel cameras as well as hybrid models that combine digital still images and video.
