Android 4.0, called Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), was scheduled for release next week. The release has been delayed out of respect for Steve Jobs.

HP investigates TouchPad tablets running Android

India launches Aakash tablet computer

The devices are subsidized by the Indian government to keep the price down. They include a three-hour battery life, two USB ports, and not much more. The devices may be made available in the U.S. at a higher price.

Mozilla Blocks Crash-Prone McAfee Firefox Add-on

Firefox 7.0 has filed a lot of crash reports with Mozilla. The reports indicate McAfee’s ScriptScan add-on caused a lot of those crashes. So Mozilla is discouraging use of the add-on.
