Psion takes a hit

The Guardian reports Psion lost a fifth of its stock market value after it admitted that US partner Motorola had pulled out of a joint venture designed to add wireless Internet capability to the Psion’s handheld devices.

High school Visor experiment

PDA Verticals, Handspring, and Ballard High just launched a pilot project to incorporate handheld computers into high schools. One ninth-grade class will begin using the handhelds this semester to develop organizational skills, enhance learning, and gain proficiency with technology.
