Blue Nomad’s partner, Driveway.com, has informed them that as of March 5, 2001, they will discontinue all Driveway.com file sharing and storage services. As a result, BackupBuddy users will no longer be able to back up to and restore their files from Driveway.com. Over the next few weeks, Blue Nomad, LLC (formerly, BackupBuddy Software, LLC) will be revising BackupBuddy and its documentation to reflect this change.

Bachmann Software & Services announced a renewed license agreement with Palm Inc. The agreement, originally established in 1999, allows Palm to integrate Bachmann Print Manager into the Palm MultiMail Pro software application.

CNET News.com has an article on Hewlett-Packard’s naming of Iain Morris as president of the new Embedded and Personal Systems group. According to the article, Morris will “scrutinize every aspect of his new 400-employee domain. That includes looking at major changes for the Jornada in particular, such as the possibility of changing its operating system.” The article goes on to say, “HP will consider switching to a new operating system, such as Linux or the dominant Palm OS.”
