Belkin and XM Satellite Radio

XM Satellite Radio and Belkin announced a strategic relationship to produce and distribute a variety of Belkin accessories for new XM products. Starting this fall, Belkin will offer accessories for the portable, handheld XM2go radios. Consumers can purchase Belkin vehicle kits, home kits, power chargers, antennas, and other products that work with the entire XM2go line of receivers from Delphi, Pioneer, and Tao. XM and Belkin will also offer accessories for the upcoming Delphi XM RoadyXT satellite radio and the Audiovox Xpress radio, including a portable, rechargeable battery kit with headphones that works with both radios. Belkin will be distributing XM’s new Boombox for the RoadyXT and Xpress Plug and Play receivers, which will be available will be towards the end of this year.

Belkin iPod Dock Adapter

Belkin Corporation announced the Dock Adapter for iPod shuffle, an add-on that lets you connect iPod accessories with the Dock Connector through the shuffle’s USB port. This Dock Adapter gives your shuffle the flexibility to work with enhancements for iPod such as battery packs, auto power cords, iPod speakers, and USB/FireWire cables that have a Dock Connector. It will be shipping in North America in late September 2005.

Indosat, Nokia launch BlackBerry Connect

Indosat, Nokia, and Research In Motion introduced BlackBerry Connect for the Nokia 9300 smartphone and Nokia 9500 Communicator to Indosat customers in Indonesia. RIM’s BlackBerry Connect licensing program allows users of the Nokia 9300 and Nokia 9500 to connect to proven and popular BlackBerry services while maintaining the existing Nokia device capabilities.
