Palm announced the Palm Treo 750v smartphone, the first Treo smartphone to take advantage of Vodafone’s 3G/UMTS network. The Treo 750v brings the Palm experience on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 5.0 to Europe for the first time. The new Treo 750v will be available first to Vodafone customers in the following countries: Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and other regions by the end of the calendar year.

Sybase iAnywhere announced the availability of the latest release of its M-Business Anywhere. The solution enables the delivery of Web-based content and applications to mobile devices rapidly and cost-effectively for online and disconnected use. M-Business Anywhere 6.2 new features include support for Microsoft Smartphone devices, VGA screen resolution support, soft key navigation on Windows Mobile Smartphones and Pocket PCs, and the ability to install the M-Business Anywhere client and all synched content and data on an SD card, rather than in the device memory.

The beta software for BlackBerry handsets, from Research In Motion, is available for download today, giving users the opportunity to take the new service for a test-drive.

Sybase iAnywhere announced the next generation of its XTNDConnect PC product. XTNDConnect PC is a software application that allows users to synchronize contacts, calendars, tasks, email, and notes between mobile devices and popular PC applications such as Lotus Notes and Lotus Organizer. New for this version is a redesigned user interface, photo support, enhanced customization options, broad language updates and support for more devices including the Palm700 and Sony Ericsson W810 models.

SanDisk announced a 4GB miniSD High Capacity flash card at the CTIA Wireless Show. The 4GB SanDisk miniSDHC card will be able to provide the fast speed and large capacity required to support increasingly popular but storage-intensive applications such as digital imaging, music and video record/playback functions as well as mobile television and videogames. The 4GB capacity can store more than 2,000 high-resolution pictures, more than 1,000 digital songs or up to 8 hours of MPEG 4 video.

The Belkin CushTop and PocketTop make it comfortable to use your laptop on the couch, bed, or floor. As a cushion, the CushTop provides padded comfort between your laptop and your lap. The PocketTop acts as a case and a mobile workstation, providing a built-in cooling pad and storage space for laptop accessories.
