We’re experiencing a lovely winter storm here in the north Eastern portion of the US. Courtesy of Mother Nature’s storm, our building (and presumably the surrounding community) lost power for the period of late Sunday evening through about 8AM Monday morning. Our UPSs tried valiantly to keep the servers running, but they weren’t able to soldier through an eight hour power failure. Our systems are now back up, but since there’s more snow in the forecast, there’s always the chance of further downtimes in the next 24 hours.
