Masuk High School senior Rishul Marwah has come a long way since he joined the school robotics team. Only a year ago, he had no experience building robots.
“We weren’t sure how to start,” he said. “Someone suggested make a square, so we did that. Then we attached wheels. We just kept going from there.”
A year later, however, Rishul is preparing to join his team, VEXplosion, on a trip to Anaheim, Calif., to compete in the 2014 Vex Robotics World Championship. They will be competing alongside 425 teams from high schools all over the world, including in Central and South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.
